ABOUT VIOLENT DEATH
The project was originally conceived with the intention of developing a style based primarily on Old School Death Metal. Over time, influences from Traditional Heavy Metal, Doom Metal, and other forms of heavy music were incorporated.
Although Violent Death is primarily a solo project, select tracks feature guest musicians. However, all productions consistently maintain a fierce dedication to the raw Death Metal sound of the 1980s.
J. INIESTRA
J. Iniestra is the mastermind behind Violent Death and handles virtually all aspects of the project's creative and production process.
In Violent Death, he tracks guitars and bass, programs drum sequences, performs lead vocals on tracks without guest singers, produces the songs, and creates all visual video material.
While guest musicians occasionally contribute to specific tracks, the overall artistic direction remains strictly under the vision of J. Iniestra.
THE ORIGIN
The idea of creating an original musical project began in the mid-1990s, when J. Iniestra was a teenager. At that time, the vision emerged to form—alongside fellow musicians—a band that would function as a passion project to play songs inspired by the bands he listened to, admired, and continues to admire to this day.
The project never materialized at the time due to major musical differences with musicians of that era.
Furthermore, during the 1990s, recording quality material was extraordinarily difficult for an underground band. Specialized studios were rare, often required long travel, and recording costs were prohibitively expensive for a teenage musician.
Decades later, that vision finally found a way to become reality. Violent Death was born to resurrect that original drive and forge it into an independent musical entity, leveraging modern technology to produce the exact sound J. Iniestra envisioned since his youth.

Violent Death presents "Legacy of Violence", an EP featuring three songs created with one clear purpose: to pay tribute to three essential bands whose music has left a lasting mark on the history of metal.
The EP brings together songs by Riff, O'Connor, and Metal Church — three names that, from different eras and musical perspectives, have played an important role in shaping the musical identity behind Violent Death.
This special release features the collaboration of NACHO VILLALBA (vocalist of Cráneo Candente) on vocals, and LISANDRO VILLALBA (guitarist of Medieval) on guitar solos.
MAXI — MANGLED BEYOND RECOGNITION

Violent Death presents a new MAXI consisting of four tracks, a selection of some of the songs I most enjoyed recording and bringing into the project's universe.
The release includes:
- Sepultura — a track from one of the fundamental bands among my musical influences.
- Brujeria — another band that has left a deep mark on the way I understand extreme music.
- Impetigo — raw, sick and direct Death Metal, faithful to the underground spirit that inspires me so much.
- Bonus Track — GG Allin — a special closing track dedicated to one of the most extreme and controversial figures in underground music.
The MAXI is now available to listen to on YouTube.
These recordings were made entirely at PETIZO OREJUDO studios, owned by J. INIESTRA, and were carried out entirely by J. INIESTRA: from drum programming, through the recording of guitars, bass and vocals, all the way to the production of each track.
The bands featured on this release represent strong musical influences on J. INIESTRA and are part of the sonic universe that has shaped Violent Death since its beginnings.
In terms of sound, this release follows a very specific idea: how a Death Metal project inspired by the essence of the 1980s and 1990s should sound. Heavy guitars, aggressive drums, raw vocals and a production that preserves the dirt, darkness and personality of the recordings that helped define the genre.
Rather than pursuing an excessively modern or polished production, this MAXI aims to keep alive that raw, heavy, dark and rotten spirit that made the Death Metal of that era so special.
