ABOUT VIOLENT DEATH

Violent Death is a Death Metal One Man Band project created by J. Iniestra in 2025.

The project was originally conceived with the intention of developing a style based primarily on Old School Death Metal. Over time, influences from Traditional Heavy Metal, Doom Metal, and other forms of heavy music were incorporated.

Although Violent Death is primarily a solo project, select tracks feature guest musicians. However, all productions consistently maintain a fierce dedication to the raw Death Metal sound of the 1980s.

J. INIESTRA

J. Iniestra - Creator of Violent Death
Mastermind & Multi-Instrumentalist

J. Iniestra is the mastermind behind Violent Death and handles virtually all aspects of the project's creative and production process.

In Violent Death, he tracks guitars and bass, programs drum sequences, performs lead vocals on tracks without guest singers, produces the songs, and creates all visual video material.

While guest musicians occasionally contribute to specific tracks, the overall artistic direction remains strictly under the vision of J. Iniestra.

THE ORIGIN

MID-1990s — THE SEED IS SOWN

The idea of creating an original musical project began in the mid-1990s, when J. Iniestra was a teenager. At that time, the vision emerged to form—alongside fellow musicians—a band that would function as a passion project to play songs inspired by the bands he listened to, admired, and continues to admire to this day.

THE BARRIERS — DIFFERENCES & COSTS

The project never materialized at the time due to major musical differences with musicians of that era.

Furthermore, during the 1990s, recording quality material was extraordinarily difficult for an underground band. Specialized studios were rare, often required long travel, and recording costs were prohibitively expensive for a teenage musician.

2025 — VIOLENT DEATH IS BORN

Decades later, that vision finally found a way to become reality. Violent Death was born to resurrect that original drive and forge it into an independent musical entity, leveraging modern technology to produce the exact sound J. Iniestra envisioned since his youth.

SPECIAL RELEASE ANNOUNCEMENT SEPTEMBER 1, 2026

VIOLENT DEATH — TRIBUTE EP

VIOLENT DEATH presents a new three-track EP born from a single passion: Heavy Metal and a deep respect for some of the bands that have left an indelible mark on the history of the genre.

The EP will be officially presented on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026, marking a new chapter for VIOLENT DEATH and bringing together three songs, three tributes, and the work of three musicians united by their passion for heavy music.

The project began as a collaboration between J. Iniestra and Nacho Villalba, with the idea of revisiting three iconic songs and paying tribute to the bands behind them. The EP features one song by O'Connor, one by Metal Church, and one by Riff.

But this is more than just a collection of cover songs. Each track was completely rebuilt and arranged by J. Iniestra, who performed all the guitars, bass, and programmed drum sequences, while also handling the entire musical production of the EP.

The original compositions remain at the heart of the material, but they have been given a new interpretation and a distinct identity within the VIOLENT DEATH universe.

The vocals were performed by Nacho Villalba, known for his work as the vocalist of Cráneo Candente. His contribution brings a powerful and aggressive vocal presence to the three tracks, becoming a fundamental part of the project's sound.

The EP also features Lisandro Villalba, guitarist of Medieval, who contributes the guitar solos on all three songs. His playing adds another layer of intensity to the material and strengthens the connection between different musicians from the Heavy Metal scene.

THREE SONGS. THREE TRIBUTES. ONE PASSION.

The choice of these three songs was not accidental. O'Connor, Metal Church, and Riff represent different moments, styles, and approaches to heavy music, yet they share something essential: the spirit of Heavy Metal, the power of the guitars, and a musical identity that continues to inspire new generations.

The purpose of this EP is not to reproduce the original recordings note for note, but to reinterpret these songs through the vision of VIOLENT DEATH, using the original compositions as the foundation for a new version of each track.

The result is a release created with genuine respect and passion for Heavy Metal: no pretension, no unnecessary embellishment, just raw energy and guitars turned up loud.

Above all, this EP is a tribute between musicians and for those who live and breathe Heavy Metal. A way of keeping songs that are part of the genre's history alive, while paying homage to the bands that helped make it possible for entire generations to find in heavy music a form of expression, identity, and resistance.
